If you’re looking for a huge transformation and evolution of the series, this is probably not going to be that.

They share close to identical DNA, and the new experiments between classes and spells and battleaxes will be fun to explore. If you like Borderlands, I imagine you’re going to like Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. There’s more to the melee system as well, as I encountered skeletons with grey health bars which took extra damage from melee instead of my guns and spells. The problem is that Wonderlands actual melee attack still feels about as clunky as it ever has in Borderlands, and just not really a good alternative to gunplay. Borderlands has done melee builds before between Amara and Zer0, but now with actual weapons, that’s going to be more viable than ever across more classes. The second major addition is a new focus on melee weapons, where you can loot axes and swords and maces with their own stats and effects.
